A journal of outdoor observation, written in response to the simple act of paying close attention for an hour a day to the natural sights and sounds of an ordinary backyard in Decatur, Georgia, or wherever my travels take me, with the intention of recording the single most interesting perception of the hour. The challenge has taught me to expect the unexpected!
A story in pictures!! I do find this very sad. It is such a magnificent tree in the first shot (like snow gathered up in a little whirlwind) and you can see the squirrel nest so clearly. But I love the ending - a fitting tribute. And the carefully salvaged nest branch :-)
Without the cardigan, this outfit would be perfect for the Fourth of July, but it's still a bit cold out, so I added a layer and found I really liked the new direction that mint took the color story.trees for sale

ReplyDeletehmm, now you can replace with a native ornamental: maybe chionanthus virginicus/Fringe Tree/Grancy Greybeard? Or Silverbell/ halesia carolina?
ReplyDeleteToo bad it had to (?) go :-(
